Tell it to the frogs - Season 1 - Episode 3 (3)

The previous two episodes had quite reasonable action for the statistics, this has a very low count. With a new entrant of Daryl, who actually takes a kill away from Dale. It will be something I am writing about in the next episode, but it is who to award kills too? In this episode the group all lay into a walker, then Dale chops the Walkers head off, but it is Daryl who comes along with his Crossbow, reminding the rest of the group you have to take a head shot. So actually seen kills will be awarded, if it is a group kill, with no one person being able to be seen as taking the vital blow then it will be awarded to the person who leads the group. I will explain more later.

Daryl Dixon Walkers Killed 2 (crossbow) Living Killing Living 1 (Deer)

That was it folks, the Deer was attacked by walkers but really had been finished off by Daryl, so three episodes in and still no real action for the Walkers, they have been snacking on animals, when will it turn to human snacks?

Daryl Dixon

Daryl Dixon - Played by Norman Reedus

Daryl is brother to Merle Dixon and although it doesn't start well with Rick Grimes due to Rick handcuffing his brother to a pipe and leaving him on top of a roof so Merle then has to cut his hand off. Daryl becomes a trusted member of the group and lieutenant to Ricks lead. He also has great hunting and tracking skills.

Season 1 - Episode 3 Walkers Killed 2 Living Killing Living 1 (A deer)

Guts - Season 1 - Episode 2 (2)

5 characters in this episode bother the statistic scorer, with four appearing for the first time. In this episode unless you count a Walker eating a rat, they still don't register a human victim.

We also encounter the first of my own judgements, for both Rick and Merle, you hear gun shots, and have to assume that they have made kills, as with the ones you do see they all have direct hits. With kills with weapons, you can only count the ones you actually see, So you assume Glenn must have killed more Walkers when the rains came, you only see one for him, as all the action was focused on the hero Rick.

Rick Grimes Walkers killed 31 ( 23 shot 8 using weapons )

Morales Walkers Killed 1 using a bat

"T-Dog" Walkers Killed 1 using a bat

Merle Dixon Walkers Killed 7 all shot with a rifle

Days Gone By - Season 1 - Episode 1 (1)

In the first episode only three characters make the statistics. Rick gets the credit for the very first Walker kill and Mercy Kill whilst Shane gets credit for the first Living killing living. Which for all of those who have watched The Walking Dead may find that a little ironic or shall I say fitting.

Walkers Killed 10 ( 9 with a gun 1 with a baseball bat )
Mercy Kills 2 (Yes he new Leon, but I am stretching it by although he might not have known the half body going across the grass, he did go back to give them Mercy.)

Living killing Living 3 (3 by shotgun, I am crediting the shoot out at the beginning to Shane, the side panel will explain collective credits.)

Walkers Killed 3

Should have had a mercy kill of his wife but he couldn't do it, which comes back to haunt him later, hardly a spoiler as if like me you would have watched the series.

Walkers Killing Living

Only the one, and that was the horse

Suicides

The two who were in the house from where Rick gets the horse to travel into Atlanta

Welcome

This is just a daft little idea I had, I enjoy The Walking Dead, I love statistics, so why not marry the two? Lets see what interesting stats I can find. Feel free to suggest your own things you would want to know a stat about from the show and I will see if I concur with it, and will search out the information.

This won't be an exhaustive list, as new ideas will always crop up. So far we have Walkers Killed, this will be then refined further by how, such as by gun or weapon. Then you have living killing living, same again, in time I will refine by method, reason and scenario. We then have Mercy Killings and Suicides.

What you find in life, is that statistics can sometimes weed out some interesting information. Let us see what it does.
